IRB Infrastructure Developers (IRB Infra) has executed definitive agreements to implement the Samakhiyali Santalpur BOT project. The project will be implemented through the company’s associate, IRB Infrastructure Trust, with GIC participating as a financial investor. The company will also assume the role of project manager for STPL to oversee the project’s execution. The Samakhiyali Santalpur BOT project spans 90.9 kilometres, and is estimated to cost Rs 2,092 crore. The project management works for 10 years will yield IRB Infrastructure Rs 1,954 crore under the project implementation agreement. Additionally, the trust will offer loans of up to Rs 559 crore to STPL as part of the shareholder loan agreement.
The company’s private InvIT, IRB Infrastructure Trust, has received Letter of Award from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for Rs 4,428 crore Lalitpur Lakhnadon NH44 Toll-Operate-Transfer (TOT) 12 project. The award of this project will boost IRB’s order book by Rs 3,900 crore that includes Rs 600 crore towards EPC and balance Rs 3,300 crore towards operation and maintenance (O&M) activities. The Trust had recently emerged as a preferred bidder for approximately 316 kms (approx. 1,264 lane kms) long stretch under Toll-Operate-Transfer (TOT) model for the revenue linked concession of 20 years; thus, marking entry in the state of Madhya Pradesh – 12th Indian State for IRB Group.
