Advait Infratech bags green hydrogen project

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2023

Advait Infratech has been awarded a green hydrogen project by THDC India.

Shalin Sheth, founder and MD, Advait Infratech, commented, “We believe that this pilot project will demonstrate the feasibility of using hydrogen as a medium for storing renewable electricity and pave the way for large-scale adoption of this technology in India.”

This pilot project is aimed at demonstrating the feasibility of using hydrogen as a medium for storing renewable electricity. Advait Infratech will set up a 300KW electrolyzer and a 70KW fuel cell, which will generate 70KW of electricity for 12 hours. This electricity will be used for THDC India’s premises and to supply electricity to their residential apartments. The project will store excess electricity generated from the solar panels on-site in the form of hydrogen, which can be used later when the demand for electricity exceeds the supply.

Gaurav Mishra, VP, renewable energy and business development, said, “The project is leading by an example, showing how technology and collaboration can help build a cleaner, safer, healthier and sustainable future for everyone.”

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
