TKIL Industries (formerly known as thyssenkrupp Industries India) said that its Pimpri manufacturing works plant has achieved a five-star grading in the Occupational Health and Safety Audit conducted by the British Safety Council. The manufacturing plant caters to a wide range of equipment for core industries such as mining, cement, power generation, and sugar. It has a machine shop and excellent fabrication facilities aided by testing equipment of international standards that follows the highest standards of safety, productivity and quality.
The Pimpri plant underwent a comprehensive, quantified and robust evaluation of its occupational health and safety policies, processes and practices. The audit process included documentation review, interviews with senior management, employees and other key stakeholders, together with sampling of operational activities.
Moving ahead
The audit measured performance against key health and safety management best practice indicators and a detailed review of all component elements. After a rigorous evaluation, TKIL Industries was awarded a five-star grading following the audit which is reflective of a best practice organisation.
