Marg Limited has tied up with Surbana International Consultants, a Temasek-owned consultancy company. Surbana will provide consultancy services for New Chennai Township Pvt. Ltd. (a fully-owned subsidiary of Marg Limited) in prefabrication technology, design, logistics and development for its mega project Marg Swarnabhoomi.
Every building will involve several factory-built components or units that are assembled on-site to complete the unit.
Marg Swarnabhoomi has two Special Economic Zones (SEZs) catering to the engineering as well as multi-services industries. Located amidst backwaters, the 24 carat city covering nearly 30 million sq ft of built-up area, will also have a fully functional residential complex.
