In an effort to address the growing demand of cement, Bharathi Cement has launched its commercial operation in the state of Goa. It has a manufacturing unit in Nallalingayapalli village of Andhra Pradesh.
The company is all set to contribute upto 5 million tonnes of cement to India’s growing demand. Bharathi Cement said that its first phase of 2.50 million tonnes is already in production and the second phase of 2.50 million tonnes will be ready for production in the last quarter of 2010.
“We are gland to begin the commercial operations of Bharathi Cement in Goa. The Government intends to boost the infrastructure in the state in order to accelerate growth. We support this endeavor by the Government,” said M Ravinder Reddy, Director-Marketing, Bharathi Cement.
The cement giant commenced its production in September 2009 and today sells in eight states – Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, Pondicherry, Andaman Nicobar and now in Goa. Bharathi Cement in total has a strong network of 1360 dealers and more than 2000 sub-dealers.
Bharathi Cement also has invested in 57 warehouses in the eight states. The company said it has appointed C&F agents to service the dealers / customers with a commitment to deliver within 24 hours.
