Ole Johansson, President & CEO of Wartsila Corporation has been felicitated at Priyadarshni Academy’s 26th Anniversary Global Awards 2010 held in Mumbai, India. Speaking on the occasion, he said, "I am deeply honoured to receive this prestigious award and be felicitated along with other distinguished personalities who have contributed immensely
to society. At Wartsila, our constant endeavour is to work towards sustainable energy infrastructure for power, to meet burgeoning demands. We are extremely committed towards developing environmentally-sound energy solutions while bearing our social and economic responsibilities. I am very thankful to Priyadarshni Academy for recognizing and supporting our efforts."
"We are committed towards sustainability and the growth of responsible business. Wartsila gives strong priority to developing and applying technologies that reduce the environmental impacts of its products and we are well positioned in India to share our international experience on the Peaking Power Plants with the stake holders over here.
This would open up new opportunities for investment in Indian power segment and at the same time it will benefit the nation to meet the aspirations of growth and in de-stressing the environment. Governments, companies and individual citizens all have the power to make choices that affect our common future. The simple truth is that wise power practices save money while helping protect the environment. At Wartsila, we are well prepared for this challenge!" he further
