Unity & IVRCL JV bags Tunnel Project from MCGM


A 50:50 JV between Unity Infraprojects Ltd and IVRCL has secured a prestigious order worth Rs1145.88 crore for the construction of a 8.3 km long Tunnel from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM). The project will be executed using a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) from Kapurbawdi to Bhandup Complex in Mumbai and needs to be completed within 60 months.
Commenting on the order, Abhijit K Avarsekar, vice chairman & MD, Unity Infraprojects Ltd said: “Securing such a large order is a momentous achievement for the company especially with the global economy is showing signs of recovery. Our focus on the urban infrastructure space has yielded positive results for us. Going forward we shall continue oir thrust on big ticket infrastructure projects.” With the addition of this order, Unity’s order book has surpassed Rs. 4000 crores. The company added new order aggregating to more than Rs1900 crore in the current fiscal.
