IRB Infrastructure Developers posted a net profit of Rs 250 crore, thus registering growth of 5%, against Rs 238 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY18. The highlights of business performance in Q1 FY19 are the concession agreements signed for all new projects with NHAI: Six-laning of Hapur bypass to Moradabad section including Hapur bypass on NH 24 (New NH-9) in Uttar Pradesh on DBFOT basis; Eight-laning of Vadodara Kim expressway in Gujarat under Hybrid Annuity; and Puducherry-Poondiyankuppam and Poondiyankuppam-Sattanathpuram projects in Tamil Nadu.
In March, IRB Infra bagged one project under BOT space, for six laning of the 99.87km stretch on NH-9 on Hapur bypass, from Hapur to Moradabad, for worth Rs 3,400 crore from NHAI in Uttar Pradesh.
It has tied up Rs 981 crore finances from lenders for a project to widen a section of Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway. The support from NHAI for the project will be Rs 817 crore while the equity contribution from the company will be Rs 245 crore.
