Shell Lubricants revives focus on Indian market
Shell Lubricants has once again revived its focus on the Indian construction sector. “We are quite excited about the growth in the Indian construction industry and view India as a dynamic market,” Tim Ford- Vice-President Sales, Asia, Shell Lubricants, told Construction Week in an exclusive interaction. “Shell was always committed to the Indian sector; we are now pursuing this commitment with renewed vigour,” added Donald Anderson, Country Head – Lubricants, Shell India Markets Pvt Ltd.
India is one of the largest lubricant markets in the world with approximate annual revenues of more than Rs7500 crore. According to industry analysts, the market is growing at a rate of 5-6% per year. Shell is keen on capitalising on this growth with clear and strong indications that the economy back on track and being driven by huge investments in infrastructure. Shell Lubricants’ primary focus is on the construction equipment sector. “On time and within budget delivery of critical projects demands maximising availability of construction equipment that are operating to the best performance levels. This is exactly where Shell helps.
