RPP Infra Projects launches Sri Lankan venture

RPP Infra Projects Ltd has announced starting of a new venture in Sri Lanka which will be known as, RPP Infra Projects (Lanka) Limited. This company is mainly established to execute the recently won Housing project for Internally Displaced People (IPDs) in Sri Lanka. This Project would be executed in Vavunia, Mullaitheeveu, Kilinochchi, Mannar and Jaffna districts of Northern Province in Sri Lanka. Hindustan Pre-Fab Ltd., (HPL) a Government of India subsidiary is executing the project. M/s. A to Z Maintenance and Engineering Services Limited of Gurgaon, Haryana would also be executing a part of the IDP Projects under RPP Infra Projects in Sri Lanka. RPP Infra Projects Ltd also announced the bagging of contract for strengthening of Contour Canal in Parambikulam and Aliyar in Tamil Nadu. This effectively takes the order book position to a promising Rs2250 crore.
Commenting on the occasion, P Arulsundaram, Chairman & Managing Director, RPP Infra Projects Ltd said, “R.P.P. Infra Projects has successfully completed more that 200 civil projects mainly in states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It has also forayed in to Sri Lanka for railway project and Republic of Gabon for mass housing project. We are positive that the new venture will turn out to be a good move for us.” Some of the major clients of the Company include Neyveli Lignite Corporation, Tamil Nadu; Driplex Water Engineering, Pune, Maharashtra; IVRCL Infrastructures Ltd, Hyderabad, Larson & Tubro Ltd, Chennai; Chemplast Sanmar Ltd, Chennai; Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, Tamil Nadu; HSCC (India) Ltd, Noida, (U.P.); APGENCO, Hyderabad; ELCOT, Tamil Nadu; TNPL Limited; Rassi Seeds, Chinnasalem; Siemens, Chennai; Lanco Infratech Ltd, Hyderabad; and Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Chennai.
