Road Minister Joshi meets his Korean counterpart


Korean Vice Minister of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs Mr. Han Man Lee met the Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways Dr. CP Joshi to discuss the areas of bi-lateral cooperation. During discussion both agreed for the formation of a Task Force to identify such areas in which both the countries could cooperate with each other. Both countries feel they can work together in the areas of technology transfer, experience sharing and imparting training and finding other areas of cooperation on the basis of equality, reciprocity and mutual benefit for signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

It was also agreed that India will encourage more FDI in the road projects on open competitive bidding method. Thereafter, Dr. Joshi advised the Addl. Secretary & Financial Advisor and Director General (Road Development) of M/o Road Transport & Highways to hold substantive discussions on relevant aspects of bi-lateral co-operation in the sector with the representatives of the various Korean firms.
