Pune to host Constro 2009 from Dec 2-6
Constro 2009, India’s largest international exhibition on construction machinery, materials, methods and projects will be held at Pune from December 2-6, 2009. According to Naren Kothari, Hon. Secretary and Mrinalini Sane, Executive Committee Member of the Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation (P.C.E.R.F), the organisers of the exhibition, this year’s expo, which is the 11th in the series, will focus on Green and Eco-friendly Construction practices with emphasis on energy efficient buildings.
The exhibition has been approved by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), New Delhi and supported by 24 industrial and trade bodies which include National Bamboo Mission, Builders Association of India, ETH Research Laboratory, Indian Society of Structural Engineers, BAU 2011, Association of Civil Engineers(India), Indian Plumbing Association, Pune Chapter of Institute of Indian Interior Designers, Architects, Engineers & Surveyors Association, Indian Society of Lighting Engineers, National Institute of Construction Management & Research and the Indian Green Building Council among others.
Approximately two lakh visitors and 25,000 technical visitors are expected to participate in this year’s edition in addition to foreign exhibitors and visitors from Italy, China, Korea, France, Singapore and Germany.
