Azure Power commissions 300 MW solar power project in Rajasthan

The company now has 2,683 MW of renewable energy plants in operation at home in India

Indian solar developer and power producer Azure Power Global has fully commissioned a 300-MW solar power plant in the state of Rajasthan.

The newly-completed solar park in Bhadla is an Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) project known as Rajasthan 8 that was allocated by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The latter will be buying the output of the facility at a tariff of Rs 2.58 per kWh for 25 years.

“We have operationalised close to 700 MW in this fiscal year so far, which reflects our strong project development and execution capabilities,” commented Ranjit Gupta, managing director and CEO of Azure Power.

Overall, the company now has 2,683 MW of renewable energy plants in operation at home in India.
