Ashiana Housing has announced plans to invest over Rs 275 crore in developing a senior living project in Pune’s Talegaon locality. This marks the builder’s second project in Pune, bringing their total investment in both projects to Rs 575 crore.
The decision to invest in senior living stems from the growing acceptance of this lifestyle, as retirees seek spacious and peaceful environments. Pune was specifically chosen as the project’s location due to its moderate climate throughout the year, which is highly favorable for seniors who prefer milder weather conditions. Ankur Gupta, joint MD of Ashiana Housing, expressed that the project aims to cater to individuals aged 55 and above.
The first phase of the project will feature 220 units, ranging from 637 sq-ft to 1,122 sq-ft in usable area. The prices for these units will range from Rs 57 lakhs to Rs 1.27 crore. Additionally, Ashiana Housing has also commenced work on their first project in Pune, Ashiana Malhar, which spans 11.33 acres near Hinjewadi and involves an investment of approximately Rs 300 crore.
