AmpIn Energy Transition, an energy transition platform, has entered into a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with JCAPCPL, a joint venture between Tata Steel and Nippon Steel. The company will supply 2.8 MWp of solar energy for its plant in Jamshedpur.
Ujjal Chakraborti, MD of JCAPCPL, and Pinaki Bhattacharyya, MD and CEO of AmpIn Energy Transition, signed the agreement to initiate the implementation process.
Under the terms of this agreement, AmpIn Energy Transition will install solar panels for JCAPCPL with a capacity of 2.8 MWp, harnessing the solar power to generate clean and renewable energy. This will help JCAPCPL reduce its carbon footprint and solidify its role as a frontrunner in sustainable business practices within the industry.
Chakraborti expressed his enthusiasm for this transformative partnership: “We are excited to join hands with AmpIn Energy Transition to harness the power of solar energy. This collaboration is a testament to our unyielding commitment to greener operations and creating a brighter, more sustainable future. We are confident that this partnership will continue to yield a measurable outcome in our journey towards sustainability and we look forward to a continued association with them.”
Bhattacharyya added, “Our partnership with JCAPCPL marks a significant milestone in our mission of powering the renewable energy transition in the country. By leveraging the power of renewables, we aim to drive positive change in the energy landscape, fostering a cleaner and sustainable environment for generations to come.”
This strategic alliance between JCAPCPL and AmpIn Energy Transition underscores the potential of clean energy and paves the way for similar initiatives that can redefine the corporate approach to sustainability. As the solar panels become operational, the 2.8 MWp of energy generated will be seamlessly integrated into JCAPCPL’s operations, further enhancing its commitment to responsible and environmentally conscious practices.
