WBSEDCL floats tender for 125 MW solar park project

The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company (WBSEDCL) has invited bids for 125 MW solar park project in the state.

The company has issued an expression of interest (EoI) for engineering, procurement and construction of turnkey PV solar power plant under 125 MW (Phase-1) solar park project, including comprehensive three years operation and maintenance of the plant located in Mouzas Dadanpatrabar, Mania and Dakshin Purusottampur under Block-Ramnagar-II, Purba Medinipur district, West Bengal.

The funds from the German Bilateral Finance Cooperation and matching equity of the state government are earmarked for the solar park project.

The work also includes operation and maintenance of the PV solar power plant for a period of three years.

The last date for bid submission is 30 June 2020. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on 3 July 2020.

In March 2020, WBPDCL had floated a tender for 10 MW grid-connected floating solar photovoltaic power plants in Sagardighi Thermal Power Project (SGTPP), Murshidabad. The scope of work includes design and engineering, manufacture/procurement, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the plants and five years of operation and maintenance. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 60.02 crore.
