YEIDA allot plots to industries near upcoming Jewar airport

Has allotted two industrial and two institutional plots

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has decided to attract industries to make investment in land parcels near the upcoming Jewar airport.

YEIDA has allotted two industrial and two institutional plots near the upcoming Jewar airport attracting investment of more than Rs 60 crore.

It has allotted two industrial plots in Sector 33 of Yamuna Expressway. The authority will allot more plots in coming days.

Ocean Carpets and Furnishing India will make an investment of Rs 11.36 crore and generate employment for 271 people. Integrated Batteries India will pour Rs 16.10 crore and create 198 employments for locals.

Applicants were interviewed through video conferencing, and based on various parameters, allotment was done.

Apart from this, YEIDA has also allotted two land parcels for institutional purpose that will attract investment of around Rs 35 crore.

The Uttar Pradesh government has earmarked around 5,000 ha of land in Jewar on Yamuna Express for an aviation and transport hub.

Around 1,300 ha of land will be handed over to Zurich Airports for the development of the airport in Phase-I.

Jewar airport is expected to commence operations around 2023-24, by when the existing airport is set to exhaust its capacity of over100 million.
