DMRC finalises designs for Phase-IV metro lines
Online courses are available for the employees such as BIM software
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation's (DMRC's) team of architects and designers have held online-meetings with locality personnel, design experts and contractors, and have finalised the designs for development of Phase-IV of the project.
Senior officials of Delhi Metro, including MD Mangu Singh, are continuing work during the lockdown, and meetings are being directed through video conference to review a range of major issues. Online courses are available for the employees for knowledge and awareness enhancement such as on Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
Officers can leave their comments and observations by the same software and no hard copy or print out is required. Engineers deputed at the sites are also regularly conducting meetings through video conference to deliberate on a range of issues encountered once developmental work starts, such as design submission and finalisation, procurement orders through contractors, manpower deployment at sites etc.
Daily project reports are being made to keep a tab on the overall progress. An official stated that the safety department is organising frequent web-seminars for project engineers on many aspects of development, site safety, etc, and more than 400 engineers across the DMRC hierarchy are attending the webinars.
