Lucknow Smart City has invited bids for construction of smart roads in ABD area of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh.
The work will be taken up under Smart City Mission. The estimated value of the work is Rs 229.69 crore.
Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has selected 17 prominent stretches in the city for construction of smart roads.
A smart road ensures green belt on both sides, smooth traffic and ample space on footpaths for pedestrians. Beautification and seating facility on both sides of the road will also be made. Besides, there will be parking spaces, traffic signals, lights and encroachment-free movement.
According to LDA officials, stretches measuring 27km in areas like Gomtinagar, Hazratganj, Jankipuram, Aashiana, Mahanagar and Alambagh have been chosen for constructing smart roads under the Smart City project.
