DPR underway for special economic zone in Tripura
The SEZ will be located at Jalefa under South Tripura district
The government of Tripura has laid out a detailed project report (DPR) of Rs 150 crore for creating an infrastructure for investors in special economic zone (SEZ).
The SEZ will be located at Jalefa under South Tripura district. The state government has entrusted the responsibility of developing the area to the Tripura Industrial Development Corporation.
All the line departments have been asked to get involved in the infrastructure development activities to make the location well-equipped with all necessary facilities. At least 18 new units have been allotted land in several industrial areas of the state with an expected investment plan of Rs 85.1139 crore with manpower mobilisation of 541.
The SEZ will have duty-free import/domestic procurement of goods for development, operation and maintenance of SEZ units, 100% income tax exemption on export income for SEZ units under section 10AA of the Income Tax Act for first five years, 50% for next five years thereafter and 50% of the ploughed back export profit for next five years.
