BKT showcases its advanced agricultural tyre portfolio at Agri-Intex Coimbatore
With a booth size of 112m2, the entire range of tyres was displayed in order to attract farmers
Balkrishna Industries Limited (BKT) made an impressive display at the 19th edition of Agri-Intex, a renowned exhibition that showcased contemporary agriculture, horticulture, dairy farming and food processing technologies along with their best practices. It was held from July 12th to 15th at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore. The exhibition attracted more than 60,000 visitors from Tamil Nadu, Kerala & Karnataka with more than 400 companies related to agriculture displaying their product range.
Rajiv Poddar, joint MD, BKT said: “BKT as India’s reliable tyre manufactures strive hard to help the farmers community with the latest upgraded and versatile agricultural tire portfolio. Participating at Agri Intex exhibition gives us the platform to engage with farmers in Tamil Nadu and understand their challenges locally and address them in the most effective ways. We believe technology will significantly contribute to the agricultural sector and help increase their output.”
BKT participated for the fourth time at Agri Intex and displayed 21 key agriculture tyres and its range of motorcycle tyres at the fair. With a booth size of 112 sq. metres, the entire range of tires was displayed in order to attract the farmers.
The key attraction was the 12.4-28 size of puddle special tyre, which has been specially developed for using in Paddy fields without changing the rim size. This tyre fits on the standard rim size and was thus lauded by all the visiting farmers. This tyre comes with a 6-year warranty and was the centre of attraction at the BKT booth. Paddy is the most popular crop in Tamil Nadu and BKT developed this looking specifically into the requirement of paddy growing farmers in the state.
Other tyres which were highlighted at the show were BKT Commander series (front and rear) and radial tyre. Total footfall at the BKT booth exceeded 7,500 visitors during the four-day event.
