Prime Minister to hold infra review meeting

The Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will hold a meeting of key infrastructure ministries on this Friday in New Delhi. The meeting will be attended by ministers of railways, road transport & highways, shipping, civil aviation, power and coal.

The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss the targets to be achieved in these infrastructure sectors for the year 2013-14 and finalise them. The Prime Minister had followed the same practice last year in which a meeting was held on the targets for 2012-13, which were then finalized and announced.

This year also, the planning commission has done the preparatory work in finalizing the targets for 2013-14. At the end of this meeting, the targets would be formally announced.
