PRIL to do India’s 1st highspeed ballastless track

Patil Rail Infrastructure Pvt Ltd (PRIL) has bagged the prestigious project to design, manufacture, supply and supervise the laying of the Ballastless Track Solution for the Delhi Airport Express Link. This project has been awarded by Delhi Airport Metro Express Pvt Ltd, a group company of Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG).
Under the terms of the project, PRIL would implement the most contemporary technology for railway track in the country – RHEDA 2000. The total distance being covered under this project is 45 Route Kilometers (RKM) and will be completed by February 2010 – in time for the Commonwealth Games. With a total length of 45 Route Kilometers (RKM) and six stations, the Airport Metro Express Line in New Delhi will establish a link between New Delhi Railway Station and Indira Gandhi International Airport. With RHEDA 2000 track solution, trains can travel at speeds up to 160 kmph enabling quicker travel to and from the airport.
RHEDA 2000 Ballastless Track Solutions being implemented by Patil Rail Infrastructure has been developed in India in collaboration with RailOne AG, Germany – who are well-known designers and implementers of high speed rail track solutions in Europe. Patil Rail is also in the process of installing RHEDA Ballastless Track at Jammu-Kashmir railway line.
