Philips strengthens its LED light presence


With its continued focus to offer LED lighting solutions in professional segments, including urban and outdoor lighting, offices, retail and hospitality, Philips Electronics has recently unveiled Ledino for both professionals and consumers.
Rajeev Chopra, Country Head, Philips Lighting, said: “With the Philips Ledino range, we are providing consumers at home with a pure, refreshing light, which creates a natural ambience in appealing designs. Given our leadership in the fast emerging LED market, Philips is spearheading the introduction of innovative, stylish LED based lighting solutions that match consumers’ personality and style.”
Philips has also launched new street lighting solutions. The company has supplied street lights to municipalities like New Delhi Municipal Corporation.
It’s newly launched ‘Kidsplace’ collection of consumer luminaire, the company said, offers child-friendly lights, designed around the function of lighting. Philips has also introduced the MASTER LED lamp range for hotels to easily replace their existing lighting.
The company has recently received an order of 15 million CFLs from Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB). These CFL’s will be distributed to 7.5 million households in Kerala, and will help achieve a peak load reduction of ~200 MW, and reduce CO2 emissions by 0.5 million tonnes per annum.
