Essar Capital appoints Anil Kumar Chaudhary as CEO

For the metals and mining business

Essar Capital, the investment manager of Essar Global Fund, has appointed former CMD of Steel Authority of India (SAIL) Anil Kumar Chaudhary as chief executive officer for its metals & mining business.

He will be a member of the executive committee, and will play a key role in driving the investment strategy and growth in the metals & mining vertical, domestically and globally, a company statement said.

Chaudhary has also been the chairman of International Coal Ventures (ICVL) and Mjunction Services. He had also held the post of the president of Steel Research and Technology Mission of India (SRTMI). Currently, he is the chairman of Minerals and Metals Committee of PHDCCI.
