Netz Realty launches budget homes in Mumbai

Netz Realty has announced two budget home projects in the heart of Mumbai. "One project is located at Andheri east while the other project is in Mahim," Renuka Khekade, Chief Spokesperson for Netz Realty told Construction Week on phone.
The size of the studio apartments would be between 300 sq ft to 450 sq ft and would be available at a budget price tag of between Rs25 lakh to Rs45 lakh, she said. The concept has the potential of revolutionising the housing industry in the metro if it really works out. Construction Week asked Mrs Khekade as to how would Netz manage to provide budget homes in the heart of the city. "Basically, we are acquiring distressed commercial properties and converting them into budget homes," she informed.
Speaking on the concept of studio Apartments, Mrs. Renuka Khekade said "Studio Apartments are well furnished homes without partition that provide open space to fit a kitchen, bedroom and living room layout for area size as small as 250 sq ft. carpet. The layout of studio apartment is flexible and can be changed any time. Major global metro cities have adapted to similar standards of housing to provide cost effective housing for local citizens."
"We will soon be launching such projects in various other areas of Mumbai and other tier I cities like Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and Bangalore," She added.
