Messung forays into social infra with MTPL
Messung Group of Companies will provide automation solutions and services to the social infrastructure sector through its newly formed venture Messung Technologies Pvt Ltd (MTPL). "It is not that we were not doing these projects earlier. However, those were once in a while projects and we did not have an organised approach towards this segment. With the launch of MTPL, we will seriously focus on the social infrastructure sector," said Farook Merchant, Chairman & Managing Director, Messung Group of Companies while speaking with Construction Week yesterday.
MTPL has been formed with an objective to provide latest world class automation solutions in the social infrastructure as well as the Process Automation segment. Messung Group expects the social infrastructure & PA business to emerge as the leading automation market in India.
The newly added portfolio includes automation solutions for waste water management, water management, power generation & distribution, sewage management and HVAC / Air-conditioning systems.
The new venture will concentrate its business primarily in the emerging verticals such as oil & gas, steel, power and infrastructure. Commenting further on this venture, Mr Merchant said, “More than ever, infrastructure is the future of India. The projected growth in the social infrastructure domain is tremendous, which is good news to the automation industry. With our specialist products, services and experience in the Indian market we are well positioned to meet the growing automation needs. As a result of cutting edge research and innovation at Messung Group, Messung’s Systems & Solutions division will herald a new era for the process industry.” Sharing his thoughts on strengthening their relationship, Mr. Francis Cheng, General Manager, Automation & Motion Control Systems (Factory Automation & Industrial Division), Mitsubishi Electric; Asia said, “We are happy to witness this strengthening relationship with Messung since its commencement in 1995. Currently, most leading players in the automation including Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, etc. are already catering to the social infrastructure sector in India.
