MECL signs MoU with Ministry of Mines

Mineral Exploration Corporation Ltd (MECL), an autonomous public sector company, has signed an MoU with the Ministry of Mines (for financial year 2010-11) to carry out 275000 meter of exploratory drilling and 7500 meter of exploratory/developmental mining along with associated activities.
The company’s Chairman-cum- Managing Director, Dr AK Lomas has recently signed the MoU with Santha Sheela Nair, Secretary to Government of India, Ministry of Mines in New Delhi.
Apart from this, a due care has also been proposed in maintaining the sustainability under which MECL shall optimize the power consumption, particularly utilization of Petrol Oil Lubricants (POL). MECL has also proposed an ambitious programme for modernization and expansion in the forthcoming years.
It has proposed to adopt the parameters related to corporate social responsibility; and emphasise on customer satisfaction by maintaining quality, quantity and time schedule.
