Lubrizol to launch BlazeMaster Fire Sprinkler
Lubrizol, for the first time in India, plans to introduce BlazeMaster Fire Sprinkler Systems which is an alternative to metal pipe. It is made from a specialty thermoplastic, chemically known as Post Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC).
Extensively used in more than 40 countries, the product is currently going through the certification process at BIS. “We have already applied to BIS for the certification of BlazeMaster. We hope to get the approval in a year’s time. This would be the first-of-its-kind product in India,” said Manoj Dhar, Business Development Manager, Lubrizol Advanced Materials India Pvt Ltd.
The company said the system is based on product technology with a service history of over 50 years, having more listing and approvals, and can be used in more applications than any other non-metallic sprinkler system.
BlazeMaster Pipe & Fittings are listed by UL for NFPA 13 light hazard occupancies, including 13D & 13R, approved by Factory Mutual and all major model Building & Mechanical Codes.
