Keeping it real

Gaurav Shah, director, sales and marketing, Ravi Group, believes that relatively affordable houses will find buyers.

You have been a strong proponent of the affordable luxury housing. Could you expound on what it would mean to residents and prospective buyers?
Everyone dreams of owning a house in Mumbai. We build houses for those who seek a luxury home at a relatively affordable price. The company envisages to build houses according to the convenience of the prospective buyers and our focal point is to provide the best of luxury at an equitable rate. We thoroughly value the aspirations and expectations of our customers and try to execute them as per our promises made to them and make the process of buying a home as comfortable as possible for them.

What are some of the factors on how properties within the same segment will witness differential price bands?
Price alterations are predominantly based on the locale. An immediate preference even today would be an ideal investment in the luxury arenas of south Bombay. From the buyers perspective that is often considered constructive, as the standard of living matters.

Within Ravi Group, what are some of the criteria you select when offering affordable luxury homes?
We are positioned as an affordable yet premium in terms of project design, execution and has adopted some innovative strategies to create a niche product for the clientele.
The budget and the ticket size are the main criteria while offering affordable luxury homes to buyers. The target is the middle income buyers who consider every aspect before investing in a home in Mumbai.

You have constructed an exclusive and opulent ‘The Era – Vuelta’ in Mumbai. What are some of the exclusivity this development offers?
The project promises a concoction of luxury and convenience that will re-define the future of luxury living. The amenities and the location; everything about The Era Vuelta has a touch of magnificence. Moreover, the connectivity to landmarks and proximity to schools and colleges is advantageous overall.

More Indian developers are seeking out international architects and designers for their projects. What are some of the ideas they bring to the table?
Without withstanding the fact that currently the realty sector is seeing downward trend, still some of the noted design companies from other countries are opening their Indian offices to cater the real estate market. Essentially there is a big difference in approach between Indian and foreign firms that undertake design jobs as international firms are more empathetic to developers’ needs. They find a solution which is required for a particular site, location and are more in tune with the land use demand.

What are some of the factors that differentiate Ravi Group in the affordable luxury housing segment?
