India and Spain sign MoU on roads and road sector

A Memorandum of Understanding between India and Spain on roads and road transport sector was signed by the Minister of Road Transport & Highways and Minister of Railways, Dr C.P.Joshi and Spain’s Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ms Ana Pastor Julián last week.

The objective of the MOU is to promote efficient and environmentally sustainable transport systems, and to institutionalise technical and scientific cooperation in the fields of road infrastructure, construction, maintenance and management of roads. It will also include exchange of information between Government officials and specialists of the Highway Departments in the field of transportation by road, and promote and develop relations between enterprises (consultancy, engineering and road transport service provider companies) to enable transfer of technology in the field of road and road transport.
