Humboldt Wedag wins orders over Rs500 million

Humboldt Wedag Minerals India has been awarded projects worth over Rs500 million in the last quarter of 2009. One of the major projects bagged is from Orissa Mining Corporation amounting to Rs349 million.
The scope of work would include installation of new chrome ore beneficiation plant at South Kaliapani, Orissa on turnkey basis with AWK Germany as their technical associates. The major highlights of the project is that, sub graded ore which is presently discarded will be used as a feed to the new plant for beneficiation. The targeted completion period of this project is 16 months. Orissa Mining Corporation is as one of the leading exporters of minerals in the country catering to the requirements of mineral based industries such as Steel, Sponge iron, pig iron, Ferro Manganese & Ferro Chrome.
The other order bagged is for Engineering, Manufacture & Supply of Diaster Vertical Pressure Filters & Disc Filters in association with Gaudfrin, France from Anrak Aluminium Limited for their 1.5MMTPA Alumina Refinery Project at Vishakhapatnam. The project value amounts to Rs111 million.
Apart from the above Humboldt Wedag Minerals India also has bagged orders from IISCO, Burnpur and Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd.
McNally Bharat Engineering (MBE) recently completed the process of acquisition of the Coal and Mineral Technology Division of KHD Humboldt Wedag, Germany, who are global leaders in Coal & Mineral Processing.
Speaking on this occasion, Srinivash Singh, Managing Director, McNally Bharat Engineering Ltd said, “Post the acquisition of KHD Humboldt Wedag, these are some important and prestigious projects for the Company.
