HCC gets contract to build Naval Dry Dock


Infrastructure major Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has won a contract to build a Dry Dock and associated North and South Wharves at Naval Dockyard in Mumbai. To be built in 48 months for Rs6o8.39 crore, the EPC contract would involve designing, engineering and detailing of all civil, electrical and mechanical works.
The company said the scope of work includes earthwork, diaphragm walls, cofferdam, underwater concreting, dock walls, pumping systems, HSD tanks and ventilation system besides having sub-station and emergency gen-sets. The permanent dock systems would include caisson gates, dock-arm, hauling-in systems, cargo lifts and capstans.
HCC has executed various landmark projects on both coastlines of India including jetties, wharfs, berths and breakwaters.
