Govt clears Guwahati project

The planning commission has given its clearance for a project that will protect Makadhuj area (Guwahati) from the erosion of Brahmaputra river. The project, estimated to cost Rs14.20 crore, will be completed by next financial year.

The state government will have to take care of the maintenance work during monsoon season as well as the execution period.
