Govt approves four-laning of Nagpur-Betul section
The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure has given its approval to implement 174 Km-four laning project at Nagpur-Betul section of NH-89 in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The project will be implemented under NHDP Phase IV-A on BOT (Annuity) basis on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) pattern.
The government said the total project cost is estimated at Rs2498.76 crore under the DBFOT pattern. The concession period is for 20 years including a construction period of 1275 days.
The project road that runs between Betul in Madhya Pradesh and Nagpur in Maharashtra will facilitate reduction time and cost for travellers. It will also add to the development of tourism in the states.
