GMR synchronises 1st unit of Kamalanga plant


GMR has successfully synchronized first unit of its 3X350 MW coal-based power project at Kamalanga, near Dhenkanal in Odisha.

This is the group’s second coal-based power plant to be synchronized. The company said that work on commissioning the second and third unit is also in progress.

The project has been implemented on multiple packages concept. This is the first IPP in Odisha to have synchronized with the Central Grid. The project will cater to the power needs of various states of India, including Odisha.
