Sterlite Power selected as 2019 Global Energy Awards finalist

Winners to be announced December 12 in New York City at black-tie event

Energy companies from 37 countries have been selected as finalists for the 21st annual S&P Global Platts Global Energy Awards. The 2019 finalists were announced by program host S&P Global Platts, the leading global provider of energy and commodities information and spot market benchmarks.

Sterlite Power, a leading global developer and solution provider in power transmission infrastructure, has been selected as finalist for Rising Star Company, Financial Investment of the Year and Construction Project of the Year Awards in the S&P Global Platts Global Energy Awards 2019.

Established in 1999 and often described as “the Oscars of the energy industry,” the S&P Global Platts Global Energy Awards highlight corporate and individual innovation, leadership and superior performance in 21 categories spanning the entire energy complex.

Sterlite Power’s Northern Region Strengthening Scheme (NRSS) -29 project in Jammu & Kashmir has been selected for the Construction Project of the Year. This is one of the largest and toughest private sector transmission projects commissioned in India till date, and plays an important role in bringing reliable power to 12.5 million people in the region. This project of national importance was delivered by Sterlite Power ahead of schedule with innovative use of technology, synergistic partnerships and deeper engagement with local communities.

Hundreds of energy industry representatives are expected to attend the 2019 Global Energy Awards black-tie dinner on December 12, in New York City.
