Essel infraprojects to develop Rs 4,000 Cr of projects in WB


Essel Infraprojects Limited (EIL), an enterprise of Dr Subash Chandra led Essel Group, committed an investment of Rs 4,000
crore for all round development of important eastern state of India. The announcement was made during Bengal
Global Business Summit.
(EIL) will develop roads projects admeasuring 300kms connecting various cities across West Bengal. Apart from this MoU, the company also agreed to explore possibilities of investment in ttourism and intelligent power city sectors after pre-feasibility study.
EIL’s MoU is part of Essel’s vision to invest Rs 10, 000 crore in West Bengal announced during 2015 edition of Bengal
Global Business Summit.
Essel with its futuristic objective to build smarter communities and world class infrastructure is targeting projects like toll roads with an investment of Rs 3,000 crore, sanitation and water treatment worth investment of Rs 2,000 crore, over 500tpd (tonnes per day) municipal solid waste project to convert waste to energy with an investment of Rs 2,000 crore and
metro/monorails/LRT project worth investment of Rs 3,000 crore, totaling Rs10,000 crores of investment.
