Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd (DCBL) has commenced commercial production of the 2.50 million tonnes greenfield cement project at Chinnakomerla Village, Kadapa District, Andhra Pradesh.

The new plant will produce 43 and 53 grade Dalmia brand Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) and Dalmia Vajram (Portland Pozzolana Cement – PPC) varieties.

“We are already well established in Tamil Nadu and Kerala markets. This new plant at Kadapa will help us to expand into Andhra Pradesh significantly besides increasing our market shares in Karnataka. This greenfield project is the stepping stone for us to be a Pan India player, thus it is important and close to our heart,” said T Venkatesan – CEO (Cement) and whole time director.

The state of the art plant with FL Smidth technology from Denmark, is one of India’s most modern cement plants. The overall cost of the project has been funded through a mix of internal accruals and debt.
