Country roads, take me home
It’s said that you can tell a country by its roads. Longer the roads, faster the growth; broader the roads, better the development. And smooth roads always mean a healthy, vibrant economy. “The economic impact of good roads can never be understated,” says Vinod Agarwal, Managing Director, GR InfraProjects Ltd, an Udaipur based road developer. “To boost our country’s GDP, we need sustained investments in infrastructure.”
Founded in 1965, GR InfraProjects Ltd is a well established name in construction of highways and bridges across India. The company has executed some 155 projects covering 3,200 kms in Rajasthan, Haryana, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand and the North-East. GR InfraProjects is well respected within the industry for its commitment, quality of work, HR practices and CSR activities. The company has a reputation for delivering projects well ahead of schedule. “That’s our strength – beating deadlines – time and again,” says Mahendra Agarwal, the Director. “Time saved is money earned in this business, you see.”
Assisting GR InfraProjects in its day-to-day operations is a vast and diverse fleet of Volvo Construction Equipment.
They include five EC140B and two EC210B Excavators, four DD100 Tandem Rollers, two each of SD110 Soil Compactors, G930 Motor Graders and L120 Wheel Loaders, and an ABG7820 Paver.
Together, they deliver what the company is looking for – solid performance at site on time, every time.
“The Volvo Team spends time understanding specific requirements to provide machines configured precisely for our working environment,” says Ratan Lal Kashyap, Vice President – Procurement.
According to him, VolvoCE equipments score strongly on efficiency and fuel economy. And with advanced Caretrack System in place, machine maintenance problems and downtime are down to the barest minimum. “The key challenge in great road building is to get everything rolling smoothly from day one of operations. No delays, no breakdowns, no hiccups,” adds Agarwal.
Apart from a highly responsive sales team, VolvoCE has also put in place a strong service team to ensure prompt service and training to company mechanics and machine operators. “It is excellent product reliability backed by complete support all the way,” says Mahendra Agarwal.
A breakout in infrastructure development is imminent over the country’s horizon. And GR InfraProjects Ltd, with rich experience and an impeccable track record, stands well poised to capitalize on the unfolding potential. The company was recently awarded for ‘Best Capital Management’ at the ‘Business Today – YES Bank Emerging Companies Excellence Awards’ function. The Shillong Bypass Project was completed a year in advance for which the company received a bonus from NHAI. GR InfraProjects is now exploring opportunities to work on road projects abroad. “No doubt, we are proud of all that we have achieved so far,” says Vinod Agarwal. “This is only the beginning.”
