CIDC’s Vishwakarma Pratham progressing steadily
Work is progressing steadily on Vishwakarma Pratham, the corporate office of Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) in Faridabad. Vishwakarma Pratham will be a state-of-the-art office complex based on the Rajputana style architecture signifying a blend of contemporay aspirations and traditional grandeur. Resplendent with the red sandstone curvaceous exteriors, Vishwakarma will have spacious and airy interiors.
According to Dr PR Swarup, Director General – CIDC, "Vishwakarma Pratham will embody the ‘spirit of Indian construction industry." Vishwakarma will not just serve as an office building for CIDC, it will also become an activity cum training centre for the industry where various stakeholders would come together under one roof.
The building is coming up on a one acre – institutional plot alloted by the Haryana Urban Development Authority in Sector 20A, Faridabad. With over 70,000 sq ft of built up area, the building will include an administrative block, a library, various utility sections, training rooms, a studio for online training, conference rooms and guest houses.
The surroundings would have landscaped gardens as well as beautiful water bodies. While incorporating ecofriendly features like rain water harvesting and solar panels as energy sources for some operations, Vishwakarma Pratham will also have wi-fi connectivity and advanced MEP systems.
Very importantly, the building would also have features that would make it easily accessible for specially abled people. One of the architectural highlight of the building will be elaborately planned frescoes adorning the walls.
While appealing the industry to come forward and contribute to the cause of Vishwakarma, Dr Swarup remarked that the time has come when together we need to scale up the areas of operation of the council to make it more inclusive for the Indian Construction Industry.
