At current growth levels, the bilateral trade between China and India is expected to cross US $100 billion within the next five years, according to Wang Donghua, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China. He was speaking on the sidelines of “7th China Products (Mumbai India) Exhibition”. Wang said that Chinese companies are looking at sourcing exhibitions as a gateway to enter into deals, joint ventures and signing of major contracts with Indian companies.
Sourcing exhibitions give the Chinese companies the opportunity to have a one-on-one contact with Indian entrepreneurs, he added. China is aggressively pursuing partnerships and business plans with India as the two countries are expected to dominate world trade in the years to come.
