Centre to develop 37 km of waterway in TN

Projects

 The Centre has approved the development of National Waterway-4 (NW-4) in Tamil Nadu at a cost of Rs123 crore. The work relates to a 37 km stretch between Sholinganallur to Kalpakkam in the South Buckingham Canal to be completed in two years. The main components of the project include dredging and excavation of navigational channel, construction of three terminals and navigational locks, replacement of an existing bridge at Kelambakkam, and installation of navigational aids.
