Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has been given a letter of intent to operate and maintain a container terminal at Kolkata Port.
The Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority, Kolkata (SMPK) has awarded a contract for the deployment and operations and maintenance (O&M) of equipment used in container handling operations within the Kolkata Dock System (KDS). This contract will enhance the efficiency of container handling, thus contributing to the overall functionality and productivity of the port.
The contract agreement is expected to be signed within 45 days from the date of issuance of the Letter of Intent/Acceptance by SMPK.
