Juniper Green Energy has entered into a pioneering power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) under Hybrid Tranche VII. This agreement involves the development of a 150 MW wind-solar hybrid power project in Gujarat and Rajasthan. The collaboration is projected to generate about 477 million units (MUs) of electricity annually, offsetting approximately 445,796 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year. Additionally, the project is expected to support the electrification of around 95,079 households.
In addition to the hybrid project, Juniper Green Energy has secured agreement with GUVNL Wind Phase VI for a standalone 90 MW wind power project in Gujarat. This marks Juniper’s largest single wind PPA to date. Strategically located, the project is anticipated to generate approximately 293 million units (MUs) of electricity annually, offsetting approximately 2,66,002 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. The electricity generated is estimated to electrify 56,539 households in Gujarat.
Commenting on the partnership, Naresh Mansukhani, CEO, Juniper Green Energy, said “Partnering with SECI and GUVNL on these projects embodies our forward-thinking approach and commitment to harnessing the synergy of wind and solar energy. These initiatives not only leverage the strengths of both wind and solar energy but also reinforces our commitment to delivering green energy solutions that are both reliable and environmentally responsible. We are excited to contribute to Gujarat and Rajasthan’s clean energy landscape and drive significant positive impacts for local communities.”
