JSW Neo Energy gains more ground with an extra 400 MW wind-solar project

JSW Neo Energy, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, has been awarded an additional 400 MW wind-solar hybrid project from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL). This follows the receipt of a letter of award (LoA) under the greenshoe option from MSEDCL against MSEDCL Phase-III.

JSW Neo has been allotted a cumulative capacity of 600 MW under Phase-III of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). This award has increased the total locked-in generation capacity of JSW Energy to 17.6 GW, including a hybrid capacity of 3.2 GW.

The company expects to have an installed generation capacity of 10 GW by FY25, up from 7.5 GW currently.
