Oaga Art Resort was officially launched in 2023, spearheaded by a young team of driven individuals with the vision to merge Maldivian artistry and creativity in the hotel industry. The resort is a new venture of the ADK Group of Companies, an established pioneer in private healthcare in the Maldives.
The art resort focuses on elevating the collective story of the Maldives islands with a platform especially made to cater for local artists and craftsmen, while embracing the tranquillity offered by the surrounding sun, sand and beaches. The resort has incorporated the largest local art collection in the Maldives tastefully displayed on the walls of its villas, as well as having the largest swimming pool mural in the region.
The team is 90 percent Maldivian and passionate about travellers exploring a side to the Maldives beyond the ordinary. As an open community, each islander belonging to the team offer their own genuineness and insight, welcoming travellers to foster authentic connections while treating them with hospitality fit for island royalty.
Oaga as a concept revolves around the philosophy of organic community growth and the resort is dedicated to their sustainability promise, with measures in place to protect the environment around them. They have built their own bottling plant to reduce dependency on single use plastics and are equally conscious about the energy consumption of its facilities.

Haruge beach villa with private pool
Your sunlit beach escape, a story between the lines. The spacious Haruge Beach Villas with Private Pool feature a modernist A-frame with angling roofs and a high-ceiling. Past the door, you can dive into one of the most romantic stories in the history of Maldives, with brightly coloured murals depicting the legend of two lovers — Dhon Hiyala aa’i Alifulhu.
Bodu Haruge beach villa with private pool
Ideal for either a romantic hideaway or a family-oriented vacation, these villas showcase an exclusive mural wall hand-drawn using black ink by process-oriented artist Moosa Mamdhooh Ahmed (aka. Mamdhu). The outdoor bathrooms are inspired by traditional Maldivian bathrooms called ‘Gifili’, with bare walls and banana plantation to complete the tropical feeling enjoyed by Maldivian ancestors.

Sobi Bar – The beach bar situated at the edge of the island specialises in artisanal beer and gin, and is designed for quieter moments. They have a selection of old school vinyl for you to try while you enjoy the picturesque view overlooking the seascape.

The Hoba Spa is a holistic wellness brand developed by Oaga Resorts, conceptualised with award winning Maldivian Wellness Leader Aishath Zulfishan who has dedicated over 16 years for the Spa Industry in the Maldives. The brand offers the essence of Maldivian healing traditions passed down from generations reminiscent of Ayurveda, which are incorporated into modern day therapy techniques. The basic architecture, names, methods and oils used at the Spa are all rooted deeply to Maldivian traditions and to the bare island life in its purest sense.
