Ambuja Cements and ACC, part of the diversified Adani Group, have fulfilled their commitment for providing highly durable green concrete for the Mumbai Coastal Road Project (MCRP).
Ambuja Cements has contributed in high-grade concrete and ACC through its RMX ACC ECOMaxX line of value-added concrete products to the MRCP. This pioneering concrete solution offers exceptional strength and showcases ACC’s dedication to environmentally responsible construction. The companies successfully delivered the concrete, adhering to the timelines and the desired performance standards.
This achievement was assisted by diligent maintenance of ACC’s concrete plants, which ensured a continuous supply from the ACC’s South Mumbai plant. A total of 29,422.50 cubic mtrs. of concrete, including both high-performance concrete and ACC ECOMAXX, were supplied for the project, enabling significant reduction in carbon footprint. The project, which covers development of a 7.75 km coastal roadway, stretching from Princess Street Flyover to Priyadarshini Park, includes the construction of a tunnel beneath the sea.
This reduction is underscored by a weighted average of 213 kg CO2/m3, representing a 61 percent decrease. Ambuja Cements and ACC have played a pivotal role in the construction of iconic and critical structures throughout India.
