HCC has won a water transmission project worth of Rs289 crore in Gujarat. The company recently received the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) for Gujarat Water Infrastructure Limited, a government of Gujarat Undertaking. The project involves construction of a 57 km long water transmission pipeline between Dhanki and Maliya villages under the ‘Swarnim Gujarat Saurashtra-Kutch Water Grid Programme (NC-31)’.
This is an EPC contract involving the construction of a 32 km long MS Pipeline of 2150 mm diameter (ID) and 14.5 mm thickness and a 25 km long MS Pipeline of 2000 mm dia (ID) and 13.5mm thickness. The project scope also includes commissioning and maintenance for five years. The project is expected to be completed in 12 months.

HCC has so far completed a number of water projects including seven irrigation dams, 18 barrages, 35 water treatment plants and 70 sewage treatment plants. It has also constructed India’s first and largest private sector water supply project in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu and has executed more than 25 km of tunneling at depths of up to 80 m in the congested urban environment in Mumbai.
