Godrej Locks hosts IID meet in Thane

Addressing the key challenge of Safety in today’s times, Godrej Locks hosted the Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID) Thane Regional Chapter Member’s Meet on 24th Sept. 2011 with an interactive session on “Safety and Security”. The event was graced by Guest Speaker Sanjay Chak, AGM, Construction (Safety) Raheja Universal. The lighting of lamp was done by Ar. Bankim Dave – All India President – IIID, Shyam Motwani, Executive Vice President & Business Head, Godrej Locks, Ar. Ashok Butala, Ar. Rakhi Takle, Ar. Nitin Killawala & Ar. Raja Chawan, followed by sharing of the Secretarial Report by Ar. Naeem Patel. Selected guests were then felicitated by Ar. Veena ArunKumar and DVD Library and Treasurer Manual was launched by Ar. Bankim Dave and Ar. Pratap Jadhav.
The highlight was the interactive and engaging session on Safety and security which was participated in by Mr Motwani of Godrej Locks along with KP Raghuvanshi, Commissioner of Police, Thane, Aniruddha Mandake, Chief Fire Officer, Ar. Mr.Gonsalvez, Ar. Suchit Gadakari and TS Murali from Godrej Locks. Some of the key points that came out in the discussion included the need for builders to understand that incorporating security while designing homes is critical in today’s times, cutting –edge and technological innovations in safety and security and customisation of security solutions. Speaking on the occasion, MrMotwani said, “This is an ideal platform to create a dialogue and share the importance of safety and locking systems amongst industry experts. We are happy to partner with IIID for this knowledge sharing forum and hope to continue our relationship in the coming years.”
IIID meet is held in every five to six months, wherein, relevant issues of importance are discussed by the members. This time they highlighted the issue of safety and security and how this factor should be given utmost importance by architects and interior designers while designing a property. The President of IIID Ar. Bankim Dave said, Godrej Locks have been pioneers in the locking solutions space and we are honoured to have this very stimulating presentation and discussion by one of the stalwarts of the industry.
